About TreeBookmark
TreeBookmark is a Chrome extension developed by XCTLab that provides a tree-style workspace for organizing bookmarks and saved resources. Features may include bookmark folders, quick access, floating panels, saved links or image references, search, interface preferences, and backup and restore tools.
What TreeBookmark stores
TreeBookmark may store information that you choose to create or save through the extension, including:
- Bookmark titles, URLs, and folder organization
- User-created folders, names, labels, and tree structure
- Saved links and image references or related metadata selected by the user
- Search, display, theme, floating-panel, and interface preferences
- Backup or export data created when the user chooses to create a backup
This organizer information is stored using the browser's extension storage and is intended to remain on the user's device unless the user manually exports or transfers it.
No XCTLab server transmission
TreeBookmark's locally stored organizer data is not transmitted to XCTLab servers by the current implementation.
TreeBookmark does not use advertising services, behavioral tracking, analytics, external user-account databases, or the sale of personal information.
Browser and website access
TreeBookmark may require browser permissions or website access needed to provide features requested by the user, such as saving the current page, saving a link or image reference, displaying the floating organizer, opening saved bookmarks, or using context-menu actions.
This access is used to provide TreeBookmark functionality and is not used to build an advertising profile or to send your browsing organizer data to XCTLab.
External requests
When you open a saved bookmark, link, or image, your browser may contact the website that originally hosts that resource. Those requests are made as part of normal browser activity and are subject to the privacy practices of the destination website.
Backup files are created only when the user chooses to create or download one, and restore operations occur only from data the user chooses to restore.
What TreeBookmark does not intentionally store
TreeBookmark is not designed to intentionally store passwords, authentication cookies, payment-card information, precise location information, or the full private contents of webpages merely because the user visits them.
Sharing and selling information
XCTLab does not sell, rent, or provide TreeBookmark's locally stored organizer data to advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties.
Data retention and deletion
Locally stored TreeBookmark information remains in the browser until the user removes saved items or folders, clears or resets TreeBookmark data, clears applicable browser extension storage, or uninstalls the extension.
Users may also use available backup and restore features to manage their own extension data.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Security
TreeBookmark is designed to minimize external data handling by keeping organizer data local to the user's browser. Users are responsible for protecting access to their browser, computer, and any backup files they create.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when TreeBookmark's features or data practices change. The effective date shown on this page will be updated when material changes are made.
